Tryouts
WVU Cheerleading tryouts for the 2017-2018 season will be held April 22 and 23, 2017. Candidates must read and complete ALL registration paperwork prior to trying out. Pre-registration paperwork must be received by April 19. Mail to Attn: Christy Davis, PO Box 0877 Coliseum, Morgantown, WV 26506. Registration can also be e-mailed to [email protected]. If you e-mail your physical, you must bring the original with the physician's signature to tryouts. There will be an informational meeting on Monday, April 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Mountain Lair Rhododendron room. Attendance is not mandatory, but all local candidates are encouraged to attend.
About
The Blue cheerleading team is the second of two co-ed cheerleading teams at West Virginia University. It is open to all students including freshmen. This team performs at all home women's basketball games and other special events. The blue team is very active in the community and takes part in weekly visits to WVU Children's Hospital along with the gold team.

Hyperextended toe touch, Standing left and right leg heel stretch, Standing scorpions
Co-ed Stunts:
Assisted toe touch, Toss to hands
Cheer & Dance:
Good motion technique and voice projection, Must display good dance ability, skill and technique
Male Evaluation
Male candidates must display athletic ability. Experience is not necessary, though is encouraged.Materials
All material will be taught at tryouts. Material includes cheer/sidelines, dance, and stunts.
